Saw this today and just had to share. Rana Sobhany is a DJ from New York that is using 2 iPads and a NuMark mixer for her DJ sets. The video was shot by tech industry mogul Robert Scoble, aka Scobleizer.
Rana also has a blog where she talks about experimenting with creating music solely through the iPad, called Destroy the Silence. This is some really forward thinking and I know a lot of people are already making music, music videos and handling their entire business with Apple mobile products like the iPhone and iPad.
Here’s a quick thought though:
if you are still trying to come up with a mobile or iPhone strategy, the world is moving past you. The iPad has already pushed over one million units and the 3G models are just dropping.
In the MobBase video Alan said something about 40 million iPhones. Get your strategy down now. Stop thinking CD’s and think how you can integrate with what fans and early adopters are using to listen to, create and buy music, information and technology. How can you work with the app companies? Can you create your own apps? The medium might be moving…
Food for thoughts. Let’s chop it up in the comments.
