Last week we started to talk about landing pages and how the traditional means of a homepage was not only a waste pf space, but actually turns away more fans than it does impress them. Today I shot a quick video that talks about the Music Marketing Manifesto, a new ebook by John Oszajca that goes into the down and dirty of how to optimize your web presence to capture fan information and then turn them into customers and advocates.
In the video I harp on squeeze pages a lot – I think they are extremely important. However, i did want to mention that John’s course talks about more than landing pages and emails. It also tells his story of being signed to major labels, then dropped and bouncing back to indies. It also showcases how now, more than ever, you can make a living with your music and the Internet.
